
Residential Electrical Install Technician

- Compensation: $20-$40 per hour based on experience
- Perform safe, code-compliant, and efficient electrical installations, wiring, and commissioning of residential standby generator systems. This includes Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) and ensuring seamless integration with existing home electrical infrastructure.
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain residential electrical wiring and systems.
- Install power distribution equipment, including breaker panels, transformers, disconnects, meter sockets, light fixtures, and lighting controls.
- Plan, organize, and lead residential projects, ensuring they are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Communicate clearly with homeowners to explain repair and upgrade options while providing world-class service.
- Adhere to all NEC safety and quality codes and maintain consistent communication with dispatch.
- Valid Nebraska Journeyman’s License preferred. We will also consider Experienced Apprentices with 3+ years of residential electrical experience.
- Solid background in Residential Service and Generator Installation.
- Proficiency with electrical schematics, blueprints, and residential troubleshooting.
- Extraordinary customer service skills and the ability to explain technical issues to homeowners.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a background check and drug screen. OSHA certification is a plus.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and kneel for long periods throughout the day.
- Frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, crawling and twisting of body while working.
- Be able to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds, with frequent lifting and carrying of up to 25 pounds.
- Must be comfortable and able to safely climb and work from ladders, scaffolding, or bucket trucks at various heights.
- Work is performed both indoors and outdoors and is not limited by weather conditions. May work in extreme temperatures, including heat and cold, as well as in dusty, wet, or dirty spaces.
Pay Range: $20 - $40 per hour
