Job Description

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or equivalent veterinary professional degree and must be licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the province of Ontario.
  • Must be in good standing with the College of Veterinarians of Ontario (or College of Veterinary Professionals of Ontario once in effect). 
  • Proven expertise in clinical, surgical, laboratory and companion animal health care procedures in veterinary practice. 
  • Potential to excel in teaching at the diploma level in a variety of veterinary technology, agriculture and equine disciplines. 
  • Ability to incorporate relevant and practical experience into teaching methods. 
  • Ability to work collegially with multidisciplinary teams including Program Coordinators, Veterinary Technicians/Technologists, Animal Care Staff and those with other training and expertise to support animal welfare and program objectives. 
  • Preference may be given to candidates with experience in shelter health management, livestock health management (dairy, beef, swine, sheep and poultry) and equine health management.
