Back to jobsDoctor of Veterinary Medicine or equivalent veterinary professional degree and must be licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the province of Ontario.
Must be in good standing with the College of Veterinarians of Ontario (or College of Veterinary Professionals of Ontario once in effect).
Proven expertise in clinical, surgical, laboratory and companion animal health care procedures in veterinary practice.
Potential to excel in teaching at the diploma level in a variety of veterinary technology, agriculture and equine disciplines.
Ability to incorporate relevant and practical experience into teaching methods.
Ability to work collegially with multidisciplinary teams including Program Coordinators, Veterinary Technicians/Technologists, Animal Care Staff and those with other training and expertise to support animal welfare and program objectives.
Preference may be given to candidates with experience in shelter health management, livestock health management (dairy, beef, swine, sheep and poultry) and equine health management.
