A Clinical Exercise Specialist (CES), also known as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CEP), is a healthcare professional who designs and implements personalized exercise programs for individuals with chronic diseases, physical limitations, or those recovering from illness or injury, using scientific principles to improve health, manage conditions, and prevent future issues. They assess fitness, prescribe exercise (cardiovascular, strength, flexibility), provide education, and supervise activities, often working with other healthcare providers in settings like hospitals or rehab centers.
