Job Description
An Urgent Care Practitioner (UCP) is a healthcare professional, often a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA), who provides immediate medical care for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries, bridging the gap between primary care and emergency rooms. They diagnose and treat acute conditions, perform minor procedures like stitching or splinting, prescribe medications, and manage patient care in walk-in clinics, often working irregular hours to offer accessible, on-demand treatment for conditions like colds, flu, minor cuts, or sprains.
