Job Description
The Analyst, Corporate Insurance supports the development, administration, and optimization of the company’s global insurance programs. This role provides analytical, operational, and technical expertise across insurance placement, claims management and contractual risk transfer. The analyst works closely with the VP of Insurance and cross‑functional partners in Legal, Finance, Procurement, Operations, HR, and Compliance to ensure the company’s insurance portfolio effectively protects people, assets, and operations worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
Insurance Program Support & Analysis
- Assist in the renewal, placement, and administration of global insurance programs, including General Liability, Auto, Umbrella/Excess, Workers’ Compensation, Professional Liability, Cyber, Property, and specialty lines.
- Collect and analyze underwriting data, exposure values, and loss histories.
- Assist in preparing renewal submissions, schedules, and benchmarking reports.
- Support evaluation of program structure, retentions, and limits.
COI Review & Contractual Risk Transfer
- Review Certificates of Insurance (COIs) to ensure compliance with corporate requirements, including GL, Auto, Umbrella, WC, Professional Liability, and required endorsements.
- Maintain COI tracking and follow up with vendors on deficiencies.
- Support Legal and Procurement in reviewing insurance‑related contract language.
- Assist in developing and updating enterprise insurance requirements.
Claims Support & Loss Analysis
- Assist with reporting, tracking, and resolving claims.
- Coordinate with carriers, TPAs, and internal stakeholders to gather documentation and monitor claim progress.
- Support initiatives to reduce claim frequency, severity, and total cost of risk.
Compliance, Governance & Process Improvement
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.
- Support internal and external audits related to insurance and claims.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, automate COI review, and enhance data quality.
- Assist in evaluating new technologies and tools for insurance operations.
This role is a hybrid position to be located in our Foster City, CA office location. Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
- Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
- 1–3+ years of experience in corporate insurance, risk management, brokerage, or claims.
- Experience with COI review, insurance policy interpretation, or claims handling preferred.
- Professional designations (ARM, CRM, CPCU) a plus or willingness to pursue.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret insurance policies, endorsements, and contracts.
- Proficiency with Excel, data visualization tools, and insurance systems.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Curiosity, initiative, and a desire to grow into more senior risk or insurance roles.
- Knowledge of AI‑based tools for document analysis, data extraction, or workflow automation is a plus.

The estimated salary range for this position is $104,900.00 to $ 163,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Travel Requirements
This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements
This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
