As a Cafe Chef at our Warriewood Brook Retirement Village, you’ll play an integral role in creating welcoming dining experiences that foster connection, routine and joy for residents, guests and the wider community.

Your opportunity 

Warriewood Brook Retirement Village | Part‑time (3 days/week, incl. weekend day shifts)

This part‑time role is ideal for a chef who values people as much as food.

You’ll take ownership of daily café operations, delivering fresh, high‑quality food in an environment where residents are known by name and meals are moments of connection.

With professionalism and creativity, you will: 

  • Prepare and deliver high‑quality food and service that enhances residents’ everyday lives

  • Plan menus and coordinate café operations, including stock ordering

  • Create warm, welcoming experiences and resolve customer queries with care and respect

  • Maintain compliance with HACCP, WHS and food safety standards

  • Monitor budgets and contribute ideas to improve service, sales and processes

  • Lead and support café staff through positive teamwork and on‑the‑job training

What you’ll bring 

You’re a passionate and experienced chef with a flair for customer service and teamwork. You thrive in a hospitality environment where quality, safety, and client satisfaction are paramount. 

You will also need: 

  • A positive, reliable and professional approach

  • Availability for weekend daytime shifts

  • Ability cook menu items to order

  • Certificate in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a commercial food environment

  • Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene and HACCP

  • Clear communication and basic computer skills (Microsoft Office preferred)

  • A collaborative mindset and confidence supporting others on the job
