Writes medical copy for a range of sales materials including e-details, emails, brochures, leaflets, direct mail, press ads, and websites. Supports the department with copy and concept development across the agency for both print and electronic media.

Associate Medical Writer – Healthcare Communications 
 

Role Overview 
We are hiring an Associate Medical Writer to support the development of scientifically accurate, evidence-based content for healthcare professionals. 

This role focuses on working with clinical data, ensuring accuracy, and building structured medical content under guidance. It requires strong attention to detail, discipline in handling evidence, and the ability to improve quickly through feedback. 

Key Responsibilities 

Medical Content Development 

  • Support development of: 

  • Slide decks and detail aids 

  • Scientific summaries and HCP materials 

  • Translate medical data into clear, structured content 

  • Ensure all content is factually accurate and properly supported by evidence 

 

Literature Review & Evidence Handling 

  • Search and review scientific literature using sources such as PubMed 

  • Extract key data from: Clinical trials, Guidelines, Review articles 

  • Organize references and maintain accuracy across all materials 

 

Accuracy, Referencing & Compliance 

  • Ensure all statements are: 

  • Traceable to credible sources 

  • Appropriately worded without overclaiming 

  • Support referencing, annotation, and factchecking 

  • Learn to work within medical, legal, and regulatory (MLR) requirements 

 

Iteration & Execution 

  • Revise content based on detailed feedback 

  • Handle multiple drafts and tight timelines 

  • Maintain consistency and accuracy across revisions 
     

Team Collaboration 

  • Work closely with: 

  • Senior medical writers 

  • Strategists and account teams 

  • Designers 

  • Incorporate feedback from internal and client reviewers 
     

Candidate Requirements 

Education 

  • Degree in: 

  • Life sciences 

  • Pharmacy 

  • Nutrition 

  • Biomedical sciences or related fields

  • Attention to Detail 

  • High accuracy in handling data, references, and wording 

  • Ability to catch inconsistencies and errors 

  • Careful with claims and scientific interpretation

  • Takes ownership of tasks and follows through reliably
