About the opportunity
The Analyst, plays a key role in empowering teams with targeted financial insights that support confident, day‑to‑day decision‑making. In this role, you’ll dive into intermediate financial analysis, contribute to budgeting activities, and help shape performance dashboards that drive clarity and accountability. You’ll thrive in a collaborative environment where your work streamlines financial processes and strengthens operational outcomes across the organisation.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- deliver proactive financial support and analysis by partnering closely with internal finance teams and stakeholders, providing modelling, budgeting support, automated reporting (including Power BI dashboards), performance commentary, and timely resolution of portfolio queries to enable effective operational decision making
- provide analysis, financial modelling, problem solving and strategics insights in relation to a diversified range of financial matters and resources within the portfolio
- contribute to the development of annual client plans that identify the current key issues and needs for the client portfolio
- support the preparation of cluster wide consolidation, reporting, analysis and presentation of meaningful management reports of Actuals, Plans, Budgets and Forecasts with associated commentaries
- identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives aimed at achieving process efficiencies and adding value to the client experience.
- prepare and present data visualization using PowerBI.
About you
- proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and analysis, supported by strong financial reporting, variance analysis, KPI development and tracking, and management accounting capability
- experience in data analysis, financial modelling and data visualisation skills, including designing and building dashboards in Power BI (or similar tools such as Tableau), with the ability to interpret insights within a broader business context
- demonstrated ability to provide strategically aligned financial insights, decision support, advice and analysis to finance teams, faculties and client groups, backed by strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- highly proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (including complex spreadsheets), Word and PowerPoint, with the ability to adapt tools for reporting, budgeting, forecasting, KPI analysis and ad‑hoc financial tasks
- excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with the professionalism, negotiation capability and discretion required to work effectively with diverse stakeholders and resolve issues constructively
- self‑motivated and proactive, with strong organisational skills, the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines, a commitment to continuous learning, and qualifications including a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant training and experience.
