Long-Term Substitute Teacher – Middle School English
St. Anthony of Padua School – Parma, OH
St. Anthony of Padua School is seeking a long-term substitute teacher for Middle School English (Grades 6–8). This position begins Monday, November 17, 2025, and concludes Friday, January 30, 2026, for a total of 39 paid working days.
Position Details:
Start Date: November 17, 2025
End Date: January 30, 2026
Total Paid Working Days: 39
Compensation: Starting at $110 per day, based on experience
School Hours: 7:15 AM – 3:00 PM
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Responsibilities Include:
Delivering engaging English Language Arts instruction aligned with grade-level standards
Creating and implementing lesson plans
Maintaining accurate grades and gradebook records
Communicating effectively with students, parents, and staff
Participating in staff meetings and collaborating with team members
Managing the classroom environment and maintaining positive student behavior
Qualifications:
Valid teaching license or substitute teaching certificate
Current BCI & FBI background checks, has or willing to obtain VIRTUS Training Certificate
Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
