Assistant Principal/Activities Director for Cascade Junior/Senior High School

The Western Dubuque County Community School District is seeking a dynamic and student-centered leader to serve as Assistant Principal/Activities Director at Cascade Junior/Senior High School. This dual-role position works in close collaboration with the Principal and Director of Secondary Education to support instructional leadership, student achievement, and a positive school culture. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting high-quality teaching and learning, supporting student behavior and attendance systems, and building strong relationships with students, staff, and families, all aligned to the district's vision of being Better Every Day. 

In addition, the Assistant Principal/Activities Director provides leadership and oversight of all extracurricular programs, including athletics, fine arts, and student organizations. This includes supervising coaches and sponsors, coordinating events and schedules, ensuring compliance with state and district expectations, and fostering a culture of inclusion, participation, and school pride. This is a 220-day contract position with a salary range of $93,000 to $110,000, with final placement based on experience and a comprehensive benefits package included.
