
Summer School Teachers: Grades 6-8 Mathematics Teachers
Job Description
Greenwich Public Schools seeks Grades 6-8 mathematics teachers for its 2026 Summer School program.
- The Secondary Summer School will be located at Greenwich High School. Courses for grades 6-8 mathematics will run from July 6 through July 24 (14 class days + 1 testing day). An additional preparation day will occur on June 29, 2026.
- The following positions are available for grades 6-8 mathematics teachers:
- Position 1: Bridge to 6A (8:00-9:40 a.m.); Bridge to Pre-Algebra (10:00-11:40 a.m.), Bridge to Algebra 1 (12:00-1:40 p.m.). This teacher will work from 7:45 a.m.-2:00 p.m. daily.
- Position 2: Algebra 1 (8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.). This teacher will work from 7:45 a.m.-1:15 p.m. daily.
- Position 3: Geometry (8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.). This teacher will work from 7:45 a.m.-1:15 p.m. daily.
- Grades 6-8 mathematics teachers must be certified in mathematics (#029).
- Compensation for all hours will be at the individual teacher's hourly per diem rate as based on the Agreement between the Greenwich Board of Education and the Greenwich Education Association.
- Positions are dependent on student enrollment.
- Preference will be given to Greenwich Public Schools teachers contracted for the 2026-27 school year, and then to other Greenwich Public Schools benefits-eligible employees.
