
Summer School Teachers: High School Credit Recovery Teachers
Job Description
Greenwich Public Schools seeks high school credit recovery teachers for its 2026 Summer School program.
- The Secondary Summer School will be located at Greenwich High School, and will run from July 6 through August 13, Mondays through Thursdays. High school credit recovery teachers will work 9:00-11:30 a.m., which includes 30 minutes of planning time. One day per week will be taught on-site at Greenwich High School and include team planning and student support; the other three days per week will be taught virtually. An additional preparation day will occur on June 29, 2026.
- The following positions are available for high school credit recovery teachers:
- Position 1: English / Humanities
- Position 2: Mathematics / STEM
- Position 3: Science / STEM
- Position 4: Social Studies / Humanities
- High school credit recovery teachers must be certified to teach students in the subject area taught. Preference will be given to teachers with proficiency using Edgenuity; those without proficiency using Edgenuity would need to gain proficiency prior to the beginning of the summer school program.
- Compensation for all hours will be at the individual teacher's hourly per diem rate as based on the Agreement between the Greenwich Board of Education and the Greenwich Education Association.
- Positions are dependent on student enrollment.
- Preference will be given to Greenwich Public Schools teachers contracted for the 2026-27 school year, and then to other Greenwich Public Schools benefits-eligible employees.
