POSTING
Dixon School District #170 is accepting applications for the position of Paraprofessional for the 2025-2026 school year. Actual hourly rate will be based upon education and experience.
Jefferson Elementary School
37.5 hours a week 1-on-1 Paraprofessional
Paraprofessional Duties Include
Paraprofessional Qualifications
1. Highly Qualified Parapro Approval (60 hours post-secondary work shown on a transcript or passing score on the parapro assessment/diploma or GED)
2. Interest and ability to work with students/teachers
3. Ability to work with others as well as independently
4. Ability to multi-task
5. Available to start August 11, 2025

- Working in a classroom setting and 1-on-1 with a student

3. Ability to work with others as well as independently
4. Ability to multi-task
5. Available to start August 11, 2025
Salary and Fringe Benefits
- Hourly rate is based on paraprofessional license or college credit hours and years of experience – $15.00 – $16.07 based on education and experience.
- Ten (10) days per year sick leave.
- Two (2) days personal leave per year.
- Health, Vision, Dental and Life Insurance offered.
- IMRF Retirement
