Homebound Instructor
Job Description
District 214 currently has a need for homebound instructors, particularly in the areas of high level math and science.
Home and hospital instruction is provided to any student who is unable to attend school due to a medical condition. These services are provided at home, in a hospital, or other educational setting.
Instructors are usually requested to provide tutorial assistance in all areas of instruction. Periodic conferences between the home/hospital instructor and school staff will be scheduled to coordinate the student's progress in his/her school program.
Qualifications:
- State of Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
Please be advised: A substitute teaching license is not accepted for the work assignment of a homebound instructor.
Rate of Pay:
- Each student may receive up to seven (7) hours of home/hospital instruction per week.
- The rate of pay is $29/hour.
