Job Description

This is a full-time, temporary School Nurse position supporting the John S. Charlton School / Countywide Programs for the 2025-2026 school year. 
Countywide Programs supports students 18 months to 22 years old and is housed at the John S. Charlton School as well as many CR schools and other community locations in Kent County. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or School Nursing from a Regionally-Accredited College or University required.
  • Must have three (3) Years of Clinical experience, preferably working with pediatric/child population.
  • Registered professional nurse, designated as R.N. as defined and determined by state law, and currently licensed in the state of Delaware. Must provide copy of RN license.
  • Current certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
  • Candidate must meet State of Delaware requirements for School Nurse.

     

SALARY In accordance with the State of Delaware and local salary schedules, based on experience and degree. Benefits package included. 

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

  • Individuals must provide official transcripts, if applicable, updated resume, and three (3) letters of recommendation.
  • All persons employed by the Caesar Rodney School District are required to submit a criminal background check and a tuberculosis test.
  • Anyone offered employment is required to provide the following: proper identification (Social Security Card and Driver's License), documentation of eligibility for employment in the U.S.A., completion of I-9 form, and completion of paperwork for the Delaware Child Protection Registry.
