
Paraprofessional for Summer 2026 - Caesar Rodney Countywide Programs
Job Description
This is a temporary, casual/seasonal, Paraprofessional position for the 2026 Summer School Program supporting Caesar Rodney Countywide Programs.
REQUIREMENTS: Individuals must possess an Instructional Paraeducator Permit issued by the Delaware Department of Education (DEDOE).
To qualify for the permit, you must meet one of the following:
Option 1:
- Hold a high school diploma or recognized equivalent AND
- Meet testing requirements by either:
- Earning a qualifying score of 459 on the ParaPro Assessment (1755) (available through August 31, 2026), or
- Achieving scores of 332 on ParaPathways: Reading and Writing (5758) and 334 on ParaPathways: Mathematics (5759)
Option 2:
Hold an associate degree or have completed a minimum of 60 semester hours from a regionally accredited institution, with a grade of "C" or better in each course
(Final approval of accepted credits is determined by the Delaware Department of Education.)

Applicants external to the Caesar Rodney School District will be hired as temporary, casual/seasonal employees.
Summer School 2026 will be held from July 7, 2026 - August 3, 2026. The program will run Monday - Thursday only. NO SCHOOL ON FRIDAYS
*There will be two In-service Days: July 6, 2026 (full day) and August 4, 2026 (half day)
Summer School Hours:
- CRCWP Student Hours - 8:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
- CRCWP Staff Hours - 7:45 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
SALARY: Individuals will be paid $24.23/hr and will be paid only for hours worked. Temporary, casual/seasonal employees are not eligible for leave or other benefits.
PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
- Individuals must provide official transcripts, if applicable, updated resume, and three (3) letters of recommendation.
- All persons employed by the Caesar Rodney School District are required to submit a criminal background check and a tuberculosis test.
- Anyone offered employment is required to provide the following: proper identification (Social Security Card and Driver's License), documentation of eligibility for employment in the U.S.A., completion of I-9 form, and completion of paperwork for the Delaware Child Protection Registry.
