Job Description
- Coursework
- Previewing, highlighting outlining, and taking notes for class
- Test taking strategies, research for papers, editing and revising written work
- Helping to assimilate the students socially in the Western Connecticut State University community:
- Use different University facilities with the student (Library, Tutoring Lab, Computer Center) to help students learn the college layout.
- Socialize with the students in the game room, coffeehouse, and cafe to model appropriate social behavior.
Mentors are also encouraged to attend the social events that the program offers to the students.
Qualifications:
- High School Dipolma
- Must be a current student at WCSU
- Education Majors, Psych Majors, or Social Work Majors - preferred but not required
$16.35 per hour. Non-Union, No benefits
