VACANCIES: Campus Monitor Substitutes

LOCATIONS:  Middlesex Middle School, All Elementary Schools

HOURS: 8 hours per day, hours depending on school hours

COMPENSATION: $19.23/hr. 

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:

Working under the supervision of the Director of Security and School Principal, the Campus Monitor Substitute will help maintain a safe and secure building for the students, faculty, and staff. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Supervise the flow of traffic in and out of the building

  • Monitor the “buzzer” entry system for visitors and maintain accurate logs of visitors

  • Sign in visitors, prepare appropriate badges, and escort visitors as needed

  • Conduct periodic monitoring sweeps throughout and around the building to check locks, doors, etc.

  • Monitor the school building and parking lots

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

  • Strong work ethic and organizational skills

  • Interpersonal skills necessary to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community

  • Computer literate

  • Ability to operate a 2-way radio

  • Some experience in the safety and security field preferred
