Job Description
Type: Full-time
- Perform routine sample preparation, wet chemistry, and sample maintenance as described in the Prinova analytical manual.
- Set up, coordinate, and perform qualitative and quantitative analyses of Prinova in-process and finished products.
- Perform daily pH, moisture, weight checks, sample weights, wet titrations, particle size testing, and density testing as needed.
- Maintain inspection and testing records for in-process materials and finished products.
- Preparation of composite sample for laboratory for internal testing as well as third-party testing
- Perform Finished product FTIR testing for control chart preparation
- Prepare solvents, mobile phase, and samples according to Prinova's Standard test procedure.
- Prepare samples from in-process materials and finished products for third-party analysis. Review, monitor, and track results from the third-party lab.
- Ensure samples are taken and controlled from the production floor to the lab. Ensure samples are inventoried and retained according to procedures
- Maintain lab records as required by Prinova’s Quality System.
- Maintains Analytical Standards and conducts calibration of lab equipment as necessary.
- Organize and support stability testing on finished products as necessary
- Enter product specification and results in LIMS system.
- Ensure compliance standards with food safety, food defense, and food quality. (FDA, ILDPH, FSMA, NSF, and BRC).
- Conducts and documents investigations, as necessary. Assists with customer complaint investigations.
- Maintain 5S cleanliness in the QC Lab.
- Perform other lab activities as required.

- Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or university in a scientific discipline with chemistry/laboratory-related experience and/or training. Experience will be taken into consideration.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent from a four-year college or university in a scientific discipline.
- Related experience and/or training is preferred.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Thorough understanding of unit conversions. Calculate the square root.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs.
- Ability to work around a variety of different smells and aromas
