Job Description
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
The Title I Summer Program Instructional Assistant positions are part-time positions instructing children entering first through sixth grade in reading and mathematics skills. The 2025 Title I Summer Program will be in-person for instructors and students.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of child development, instructional strategies and practices applicable to assignment.
Ability to assist with implementation of the instructional program and to participate in monitoring and ensuring appropriate student behavior.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and to perform all required tasks.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Knowledge of standard desktop computer hardware and software such as MS Office products and database software.
CERTIFICATE AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:
Paraeducator II certification, or its equivalent
HOURLY WAGE:
$28 per hour for certified Paraeducator II staff
$25 per hour for uncertified staff
DURATION:
SCHEDULE: July 7, 2026 - July 23, 2026
Student Schedule: Monday-Thursday 8:30-11:30. Instructional Assistant Schedule: 8:15-11:45.
Instructional Assistant Schedule: Monday - Thursday from 8:15 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.
Note: Training day will be July 6, 2026 (8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.)
