Support Staff Substitute

Non-Teaching Support Staff Substitute 

• Accepting or declining assignments is at your discretion without prejudice 
• Classified substitutes are enrolled in the State Employee Retirement System (SERS)
• Hourly sub rate of $11.70 per hour

Assignment Areas

• Classroom Teacher Assistant 
• Child Specific (work one-on-one with a student with disabilities) 
• Library Aide
• Lunch/Recess Monitor
• Office Assistant 
• School Bus Aide (requires additional training before accepting the assignment) 

Qualifications: 

• Prior experience in educational support preferred
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
• Computer knowledge and possess basic academic skills
• Maintain confidentiality 
• Physically capable of performing all job duties that may include, but are not limited to: standing, stooping, and stretching
• Good character, courtesy, efficiency, cleanliness, and commitment to the welfare of the students

REQUIREMENTS MUST BE ON FILE BEFORE A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE CAN START

1.  Current favorable BCII (State) and FBI (Federal) background checks
2.  Ohio Educational Aide Permit (required to work with students) 
3.  Negative drug screen
