Job Description
Primary Purpose:
The Lead Teacher will ensure the program maintains compliance measurements established by the City of San Antonio Department of Human Services.
Qualifications:
Education/Training:Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
Valid Texas teaching certificate
Candidate must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting check
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience:
Certified teaching experience
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Plan, organize, and implement the day-to-day activities of the program.
- Complete program training for collaborative partner programs.
- Attend regularly scheduled program staff meetings.
- Communicate with parents regarding discipline.
- Monitor the safety of all program participants.
- Organize and implement parent/child events.
- Monitor and facilitate contracted services.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervise and monitor all students and program staff.
