Job Summary
The location of the position in Paris (Farnce) and you will belong to the virtual team of Packaging Automation Lyfe Cycle support with colleagues from all over Europe. The position requires travelling approximately 50%-60% of the time.
The purpose and responsibility of the role as Automation Specialist is to implement Automation projects and services within the packaging area as well as standard service products. You will support the development of new products and provide comprehensive technical support and service to customers for all automation service products. The role also provides sales support to technical sales and account managers through the entire sales process (understand customer needs, create solution, convey the value).
You will work in close collaboration with the Global and local A&D organization, pre-project and project teams, service teams and Packaging Solutions.

What you will do
- Prepare, design and implement Automation Projects
- Coordinate work with other automation engineers, consultants and suppliers.
- Compile and review relevant technical documentation to be included in the project documentation.
- Provide technical concepts to support pre-projects and sales phases.
- Carry out remote support, service and start-ups to Tetra Pak Packaging equipment.
- Carry out commissioning of Tetra Pak Line Controllers equipment.
- Work with and fault find on extra low & low voltage systems, Data Base.
- Work with various automation platforms (Siemens, Rockwell, Beckhoff).
- Edit PLC programs and re-commission.
- Complete Project Handover and work with sales support and issue resolution.
- Write a work report on completion of the work and complete the necessary check sheets and forward promptly to the customer and office.
- Document service activities and update customer data, including equipment and contracts.
- Carry out customer visits in conjunction with technical issues, assisting the local account managers and Service Manager.
We believe you have
- University degree in Information Technologies or Automation Engineering with 5-7 years of experience, preferable in liquid food industry.
- Ability to demonstrate through experience, a thorough knowledge of Automation, MES, Industrial IT and data handling.
- Bachelor’s degree qualification or knowledge and experience of automation solutions, electrical or electronic engineering and process control.
- At least 5 years of experience in the industrial automation sector.
- Proven understanding of automation platforms, systems design.

Strong expertise in the Rockwell platform; Beckhoff is considered an asset.
- Full driving licence.
- A very good command of English and French, both written and verbal is required.
- Good verbal, written & computer communication skills.
