The Fairfield Inn and Suites is looking for a bellman to add to our strong team! We are looking for those who are willing to develop our team culture, utilizing their skills to create an environment dedicated to thoughtful and attentive service with a focus customer experience.

The hotel breakfast attendant is an important role at any full-service hotel in providing the guest with the total “Guest Experience.” You are the go-to person the guest will come to for ideas on how to make their visit the most it can be…and you – armed with the knowledge of the area's best expected attractions – makes their stay memorable for years to come.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Bellman is responsible for providing exceptional guest service by assisting with luggage, escorting guests to rooms, offering information about the property and local attractions, and ensuring a smooth and welcoming arrival and departure experience. This role plays a key part in delivering the first and last impression of the hotel to guests.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greet all guests warmly upon arrival and departure.
  • Assist guests with luggage, including loading and unloading from vehicles and delivering to guest rooms.
  • Escort guests to rooms, explaining features of the room and hotel amenities.
  • Offer directions and general information about the hotel, its services, and the surrounding area.
  • Maintain a presence in the lobby to offer assistance as needed.
  • Coordinate with the front desk and valet teams to ensure smooth guest check-in and check-out experiences.
  • Handle guest requests promptly and professionally.
  • Store and retrieve luggage or personal items upon request.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of bell desk, lobby, and storage areas.
  • Assist with room moves, deliveries, and other guest service tasks as assigned.
  • Uphold all hotel policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
  • Post side work duties and ensure staff completes side work as instructed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Friendly, professional demeanor with a strong customer service focus.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy luggage and stand for extended periods.
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Knowledge of the local area, attractions, and transportation options is beneficial
  • Effectively escalate guest complaints and promote teamwork and associate morale.
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel property, hotel staff, hotel services, hotel service hours of operation and hotel surroundings (i.e. mall, restaurants).
  • Adhere to all work rules, procedures and policies established by the company.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Fast-paced hospitality environment.
  • Requires extended periods of standing and walking.
  • May involve occasional lifting of items up to 25 lbs.
