Job Description

Water's Edge Resort and Spa is accepting applications for a Front Desk Team Member. Front Desk Team Members provide exceptional guest service as the first point of contact for guests, ensuring smooth and efficient check-in and check-out experience. Handle guest inquiries, resolve issues, and create a welcoming and hospitable atmosphere.

Primary Tasks:

  1. Greet guests with a warm and friendly demeanor, offering assistance and anticipating their needs.
  2. Efficiently process guest arrivals and departures, including registration, room assignments, and key issuance.
  3. Manage guest reservations, confirming bookings, modifying existing reservations, and accommodating special requests.
  4. Answer phone calls and emails promptly and professionally, responding to inquiries, providing information, and resolving issues.
  5. Provide accurate information about the hotel, its amenities, and local attractions, acting as a knowledgeable resource for guests.
  6. Process payments and handle cash transactions, ensuring accuracy and security.
  7. Respond to guest complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner, striving for guest satisfaction and resolution.
  8. Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, ensuring a presentable and welcoming environment.
  9. Communicate effectively with other departments, such as housekeeping and maintenance, to ensure seamless guest service.
  10. Follow all company policies and procedures, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
  11. Maintain guest confidentiality and data security, adhering to privacy standards.

 

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle guest concerns effectively.
  • Flexible schedule as shifts include days, evenings, weekdays, weekends and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Primarily involves standing for extended periods.
  • Requires manual dexterity for computer use, paperwork, and handling cash transactions.
  • May involve occasional lifting and carrying of light objects (up to 20 lbs).
  • Must be 18 years or older.
