JOB SUMMARY
The Planning and Scheduling Manager is the recognized site Steward of the Maintenance Work Process (MWP) and is specifically responsible for managing, leading, and directing the Planning and Scheduling Team in support of the MWP while developing the Team and its members to be well rounded, strategically trained, and motivated stewards of their assignments. The Planning and Scheduling Manager works to ensure the MWP, planning and scheduling activities and products, and site MWP training and application are consistent with Delek US Core Values and support and complement corporate and site Safety, Environmental, Reliability, Regulatory, and Production goals. This role is primarily responsible for routine maintenance activities but does support small projects and outages as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 4 year / Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Four (4) or more years Experience in a related field (Required)
- No Licensure or Certification Required.
- SAP experience preferred
- Two (2) or more years Leadership experience preferred
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Is the Subject Matter Expert and recognized Steward of the comprehensive Maintenance Work Process.
- Maintaining a strong, supportive, interdependent relationship among Operations, Maintenance, Planning and Scheduling, Warehouse / Procurement, and Technical Groups (Inspection, Environmental, Safety, Reliability, and Engineering).
- Ensuring the continued improvement, evolution, and application of the Maintenance Work Process including initial, refresher, role change, and targeted training in coordination and cooperation with all departments.
- Support work process cohesion and collaboration while executing assigned work process responsibilities at or by the prescribed times and as designed.
- Participating in Maintenance Budget Development and Management as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
- Owning, managing, analyzing, and presenting MWP Metrics at departmental and site-wide levels on prescribed frequencies.
- Developing, leading, and participating in MWP observations, audits, and assessments (Planning, Scheduling, First Start / First Wrench Time, Productivity, Annual Site-Self-Assessment, etc.).
- Coaching, mentoring, developing, and driving the Planning and Scheduling Department and each of its members to ensure excellence, quality, and usefulness of the Department’s products and services.
- Developing and administering Training Needs Analyses (TNAs) for the Planning and Scheduling Department and its Members; action-planning based on TNA results and providing gap-closure activities.
- Driving CMMS / SAP feature, functionality, and Technical Object structure and content evolution and improvement.
- Advanced / proficient in Planning and Scheduling fundamentals, logic, detail, and knowledge (Corrective Maintenance and Preventive / Predictive Maintenance)
- Able to master CMMS / SAP for the MWP; prior SAP experience is a plus.
- Ambassador for the evolution, improvement, advancement, and adherence of
the MWP.
