Job Description

You want to actively contribute to environmental protection through waste treatment processes that reduce the hazardous nature of waste and/or produce energy from waste (Eow) where technically feasible and economically sustainable? In the context of the circular economy and carbon footprint reduction, and in line with the company’s ambitions and the group’s Recycling Recovery strategy, SUEZ must be at the forefront of innovation to capitalize on the opportunities offered by waste management. As a Graduate, you will have the chance to work on varied and exciting assignments to meet these challenges. Your mission Reporting to the Ecosistem Platform Technical Director, your mission, should you choose to accept it, will be: Provide technical support to hazardous waste treatment and recovery facilities in Italy. Perform a key technical role in managing the company’s industrial projects, working on cross-functional technical issues between Italy and France in collaboration with the HAZARDOUS Waste Process (IWS) team and the SUEZ Design and Construction team. Actively contribute to the technical risk assessment of projects. Conduct a critical review of technical documentation from technology partners to assess the adequacy of process guarantees and performance. Collaborate on the management of the Monitoring and Control Plan required by IPPC (Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control) regulations for waste treatment facilities. Your responsibilities • Provide technical support for operations and contribute to process optimization in order to improve industrial performance (OEE). • Contribute to technology monitoring and the development of process expertise, in collaboration with the French Hazardous Waste Processes department. • Participate in the technical definition, design, and implementation of processes for industrial projects related to hazardous waste (new sites/equipment, upgrades, optimizations). • Draft and approve technical process documentation and coordinate technical working groups. • Oversee the monitoring of emissions, process parameters and performance indicators for the various production lines. • Participate in process safety reviews (HAZID/HAZOP). • Regular travel within Italy and occasional travel to France or abroad is required. You will join the team of experts from the Recycling Recovery (R R) innovation department and you will be in close contact with the E C innovation center of expertise, as well as the operational operators in Italy and abroad. At the end of the 2 years of this position integrated into the Graduate Expert program, you can either continue to deepen and share your expertise acquired locally, or else become a local referent of Hazardous waste treatment in one of a SUEZ Business Unit over the world."
