Management Level:
No LevelSummary: This position is responsible for assisting and supporting Innovation leads in the Fresh Meats and Poultry area developing new product lines and managing the existing value-added portfolio. Will work with the Innovation team, R&D, Sales & Marketing, Business Units, and Operations to help support the value-added development efforts. This is a year-round internship with the selected candidate expected to work part time during the school year, full time during the summer.
Job Duties include but are not limited to: Work well with others in a team environment; be able to follow verbal and written instructions as well as be able to apply those instructions; work closely with innovation leads to ensure projects are in-line and on task; assist with data collection as required; pull insight data for team from Nielsen and IRI; coordinate sales samples and work with R&D on sample coordination and shipping; may work with R&D in the pilot plant to support development; must be capable of working in hot, cold, and wet surroundings; and perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or lead.
This role requires the selected candidate to work in office at Tyson Foods’ Springdale, AR World Headquarters and must live within a commutable range of the office year-round to be considered.

REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
- Incoming junior, senior, or graduate student with at least one year of remaining. Business, Marketing, Food Science, Animal Science, or other Agriculture majors preferred.
Experience:
- Previous work experience preferred; experience related to the internship function is strongly preferred (e.g., exposure to industry‑standard tools, systems, or workflows).
Communication & Professional Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present information clearly.
- Professional, collaborative, and able to work effectively with cross‑functional partners.
- Demonstrated reliability, responsiveness to feedback, and strong attention to detail.
Technical & Analytical Skills:
- Strong computer proficiency, including Excel; familiarity with Access, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to learn new technologies or discipline‑relevant systems quickly.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
Work Behaviors:
- Self‑motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Work Hours:
- Available for 40 hours per week in summer; up to 20 hours per week during school year.

Physical Requirements may include:
- Standing 50%; Sitting 50%
- Some Physical Labor Required: This can include lifting, pushing, and/or pulling around 50 pounds with carts or hand pallet jacks in and out of coolers or freezers on a weekly basis.
- Must be capable of occasionally working in hot, cold, and wet surroundings
