Job Description
The Senior Accountant will be an active team member to a cohesive international finance team. The role will be required to assist in building out accounting processes, policies, and at times assist in the management of vendors, finance systems, and subsidiary accounting. The international accounting team reports to the Global Controller and currently has team members in both Australia and the UAE. The role encompasses two key areas of responsibility. The first focuses on finance and accounting, where the individual will play a critical role in supporting all reporting activities related to GQG’s international subsidiaries. This includes managing required local reporting and regulatory filings across multiple jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will bring relevant experience in financial reporting, coupled with a strong analytical skillset and a solid understanding of accounting principles and regulatory requirements in the US, UK, and Australia. In addition, this role will support our Investor Relations team by assisting in the management of our share register and providing broader operational and administrative support to the team. Given the nature of these responsibilities, the role demands exceptional communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and effective time management to ensure seamless collaboration and delivery of high-quality outcomes. The ideal candidate will have strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to proactively work across the organization. A meticulous attention to detail, coupled with the ability to gather, analyze, and synthesize data to deliver reliable, accurate conclusions and meaningful insights, will be critical for success in this role. Due to the global scope of the position, including the international distribution of both the team and GQG’s corporate operations, the role may require participation in frequent early or late calls across time zones, as well as occasional international travel. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Subsidiary Accounting and Reporting for International Subsidiaries: Monthly close. Annual audit. Coordination with legal regulatory filings. Consolidation with GQG Group. Coordination with HR. Management of subsidiary accounting and finance prior to inclusion in the centralized group. Any other ad hoc project related work as required by GQG Group. Investor Relations: Assist in co-ordination of investor queries to relevant trained stakeholders. Assist in vendor management – ensuring both US and Australian vendors are adhering to service levels, KPIs and deliverables. Support of IR processes include Annual General Meeting, earnings presentations, earnings roadshow, and other IR events. Holistic management of all services provided by share registrar and other service providers for GQG’s tradable CDIs including but not limited to: Reconciliation, auditing and quality control of registrar reports and any analytical information based on this information. Collecting, verifying and reporting investor information. Dividend processes. Management of meeting logistics. Conversion of GQG common stock to CDIs. Supporting periodic processes around the vesting of RSUs.
