Job Description

Product Manager (Enterprise Tools)

Department: Corporate/Administrative

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Remote- USA

Reporting To: Kat Nelson- Galke

Description

Trilon is building a supercharged, technology-enabled future for our people and partners. The Product Manager plays a critical role in that mission by owning the full product lifecycle for one of our product pods, from validated use case through deployed and adopted tool.

You are accountable for what your pod builds, why it gets built, and whether it drives measurable behavior change across our operating companies. You translate field intelligence from the AI Innovation team into clear product definitions, maintain a prioritized backlog that engineering can execute against, and define the success metrics that determine whether a tool delivers real value.

Operating at the intersection of discovery and delivery, you receive qualified use cases and shape them into build-ready products. You work closely with the Principal Solutions Architect to ensure technical feasibility, with the Lead Engineer to drive execution, and with the QA Engineer to define acceptance criteria that reflect real-world quality standards.

You also own the activation package for every tool your pod ships, including onboarding, training, and enablement materials that support deployment by Regional CTOs. You are responsible for ensuring those teams are equipped to drive adoption, and for connecting product outcomes back to measurable business impact.

This role requires strong product management fundamentals, experience delivering software in complex organizations, and the ability to operate with clarity and structure in a fast-moving environment. You are disciplined in how you define work, decisive in prioritization, and focused on ensuring everything your pod builds ties back to outcomes the business can measure.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Ownership and Backlog Management:
  • Own the product backlog for your pod end-to-end, including epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Translate prioritized opportunities and solution briefs into clear, build-ready work
  • Ensure all backlog items are properly scoped, sequenced, and aligned to sprint cadence
  • Maintain traceability from intake through delivery and outcome measurement
Intake and Product Definition:
  • Serve as the primary intake point for validated use cases from the AI Innovation team
  • Confirm intent, clarify requirements, and resolve open design questions
  • Shape use cases into structured product definitions that are ready for engineering execution
  • Feed build-time insights and learnings back into the discovery process
Pod Execution and Delivery Partnership:
  • Partner closely with the Lead Engineer and pod team through refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Resolve ambiguity in real time and make product decisions on scope, sequencing, and tradeoffs
  • Accept completed work against defined acceptance criteria
  • Ensure delivery stays aligned with broader program timelines and priorities
User Acceptance Testing and Deployment:
  • Lead user acceptance testing with operating company stakeholders
  • Validate that delivered solutions meet real-world requirements and quality expectations
  • Partner with engineering and program leadership to plan and support deployments
Activation and Adoption Enablement:
  • Own the activation package for each tool, including onboarding, training materials, and usage guidance
  • Define adoption metrics and success criteria for deployed tools
  • Support Regional CTOs and field teams with the materials and context needed for effective rollout
  • Ensure consistency and quality in how tools are introduced and supported across operating companies
Outcome Tracking and Continuous Improvement:
  • Track adoption and business impact, including usage, time savings, error reduction, and other defined metrics
  • Compare actual outcomes to the original value hypothesis and identify gaps
  • Feed insights back into product planning and the AI Innovation team
  • Continuously refine backlog priorities based on performance and feedback
Standards and Practice Development:
  • Contribute to product management standards across pods, including intake, prioritization, and backlog structure
  • Develop and refine playbooks, templates, and processes that scale product discipline
  • Ensure alignment with reference patterns so solutions build on a consistent platform foundation

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably in enterprise software or technology-driven environments
  • Proven experience owning and managing product backlogs and delivering software products end-to-end
  • Strong ability to translate ambiguous ideas into structured product requirements and execution plans
  • Experience working closely with engineering teams in agile development environments
  • Ability to define acceptance criteria and evaluate delivered work against business needs
  • Experience managing user acceptance testing and supporting product deployment
  • Strong prioritization and decision-making skills, with the ability to balance speed, quality, and impact
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineers, architects, and senior business stakeholders
  • Experience operating in complex, distributed organizations is strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with AI-powered products, automation, or data-driven applications is preferred
  • Ability to track and measure product outcomes and connect delivery to business value
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing multiple workstreams
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities
  • Experience contributing to or establishing product management practices and standards is a plus
