The Foreign Trade team is part of the logistic team in Supply Chain Operations. It is responsible for managing import and export operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, cost control, and on-time delivery of international shipments. The team works closely with Customer Service, Planning, Quality, Finance, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and regulatory authorities. Collaboration, reliability, and compliance are key to supporting Novonesis’ purpose of delivering sustainable solutions to customers worldwide.
Main tasks:
• Manage and review foreign trade documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, Bill of Lading/Air Waybill, etc.) ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
• Monitor and control import and export processes end-to-end, from shipment arrival through customs clearance to final delivery.
• Classify goods accurately (NCM/HS Code), identify licensing requirements, and manage import licenses (LPCO) in coordination with customs brokers and regulatory agencies.
• Maintain accurate records in internal systems and external platforms (e.g., SAP, PUCOMEX, ANVISA, MAPA), ensuring data integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Track logistics and operational costs such as warehousing, demurrage, and other charges, supporting cost control and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO/OEA) program by participating in committees, audits, and actions to maintain certification.
• Coordinate intercompany shipments, working closely with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers to ensure visibility, deadlines, and service level compliance.
• Support Customer Service, Samples, and Planning teams with imported product-related requests, acting as back-up for shipping and sampling analysts when required.
Skills & experience
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Foreign Trade, International Business, Logistics, or related fields.
• Solid experience in import and export operations, customs clearance processes, and international logistics.
• Strong knowledge of Brazilian import/export legislation and regulatory requirements (ANVISA, MAPA, Receita Federal).
• Experience with fiscal classification (NCM/HS), import licenses, customs documentation, and clearance follow-up.
• Advanced user of Excel and practical experience with SAP and foreign trade platforms (Siscomex, Portal Único, DUIMP Product Catalog).
• Understanding the requirements of the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) Program and the ability to support the maintenance of certification through operational compliance.
• Advanced English (spoken and written); Spanish is desirable.
• On-site role with potential hybrid flexibility depending on business needs.
