Forest Lake Area School District is currently seeking applicants for the position of an ECFE Teaching Assistant II for the 2026-2027 school year.

Job Description: 

Forest Lake Area Schools is seeking caring and enthusiastic individuals to serve as Teaching Assistants in our Early Childhood Program for the 2026-2027 school year. Teaching Assistants play an essential role in supporting classroom instruction, promoting a positive learning environment, and helping young children develop foundational skills in a nurturing setting.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside early childhood educators to assist with daily classroom activities, support individual and small group learning, and help maintain a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for preschool-aged children.

Any specific qualifications or licenses required?

Preferred:

• Experience working with young children in an educational or care setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to take direction, collaborate with educators, and work as part of a team
• Patience, flexibility, and a genuine interest in early childhood education
• High school diploma or equivalent required
