Job Description
Responsibility:
Primary responsibility is to provide administrative support in a confidential setting and to ensure that the daily office operations are efficient and well-maintained.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently; multi-task oriented.
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills
- Proficient in computer skills, including with all components of the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to organize and plan work priorities
- Will be required to pass a criminal history background check, physical, and provide proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status. (CURRENT EMPLOYEES EXEMPT)
Performance of Duties:
- Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality within the department and office as it relates to pupil records, labor relations issues, employee records, and school district data.
- Composes a variety of standard documents from handwritten drafts and other materials.
- Proofreads composed material for accuracy and correct punctuation, spelling, and grammar.
- Coordinates the distribution of correspondence.
- Arranges meetings and screens calls as needed.
- Maintains department records and orders supplies.
- Draft routine correspondence.
- Maintain the attendance and time reporting information on staff within the department.
- Prepares fiscal and statistical reports.
- Responsible for providing clerical and procedural support as needed.
- Coordinates the performance of administrative duties to support special projects and initiatives undertaken by the office.
- Acts as liaison with other offices and departments.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment, including photocopiers, calculators, and fax machines.
- Ability to work independently and follow oral and written instructions.
- Considerable knowledge of general office procedures and demonstrated ability to apply those procedures.
- Considerable knowledge of and demonstrated ability to perform advanced computer functions and spreadsheet software.
- Demonstrated ability to independently complete assignments and to handle multiple assignments.
- Demonstrated ability to identify problems and to develop feasible solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with others.
- To perform other related duties as assigned.
Salary: $50,000 - $65,000
