• Starting at $18/hour (DOE – Depending on Experience)
Pediatric Dental Assistant
• $18+/hour – With formal dental assisting school (DOE – Depending on Experience)
• $16/hour – Without formal dental assisting school
• $16/hour – Without formal dental assisting school

Position Details
Hygiene Assistant
As a Hygiene Assistant, you will support our hygiene team in delivering exceptional preventive care and patient education. You play a key role in ensuring smooth patient flow and a comfortable experience from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
- Assist hygienists chairside during patient care
- Prepare and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments
- Support patient seating, preparation, and comfort
- Provide basic patient education and oral hygiene support
- Take and process dental X-rays (if applicable)
- Maintain sterilization and infection control protocols
- Ensure accurate clinical charting and documentation
- Help maintain a positive, efficient clinical flow
Pay: Starts at $18/hour
Orthodontic Dental Assistant
As an Orthodontic Dental Assistant, you will assist orthodontists in delivering high-quality care to patients undergoing braces and orthodontic treatments. You will help create a positive patient experience while supporting efficient clinical operations.
Note – Orthodontic Dental Assistant Travel Requirement
Please note that this role may require traveling between multiple Absolute Dental office locations in the Reno area as needed to support patient care and clinic coverage. Flexibility and reliable transportation are important for this position.

Responsibilities:
- Assist orthodontists chairside during procedures and adjustments
- Prepare patients for orthodontic treatment and explain procedures
- Take impressions, scans, and orthodontic records as needed
- Change wires, bands, and orthodontic appliances under supervision
- Maintain sterilization of instruments and treatment areas
- Track and organize patient treatment progress
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and appliance care
- Ensure a welcoming and supportive patient experience
Pay: Starting at $18/hour (DOE – Depending on Experience)
Pediatric Dental Assistant
As a Pediatric Dental Assistant, you will help create a positive, gentle, and supportive dental experience for children. You will work closely with pediatric dentists to ensure young patients feel safe, comfortable, and confident during their visits.
Responsibilities:
- Assist pediatric dentists chairside during exams and procedures
- Help prepare children for treatment using calm and friendly communication
- Support behavior guidance techniques to ease patient anxiety
- Take and process dental X-rays (as applicable)
- Maintain sterilization and infection control standards
- Educate parents and children on oral hygiene and prevention
- Monitor patient comfort and assist with a positive patient experience
- Help maintain a fun, welcoming, child-friendly environment
Pay:
- $18+/hour – With formal dental assisting school (DOE – Depending on Experience)
- $16/hour – Without formal dental assisting school
What We’re Looking For
- Dental assisting experience preferred (not required for all roles)
- We are willing to train the right person with no prior experience
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus
