Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated HR Summer Intern to support a key project focused on standardizing and managing job description templates across our North America operations. This role is ideal for a student interested in Human Resources, organizational design, or process improvement within a manufacturing environment, specifically in the wire and cable industry.

The intern will play a central role in organizing, auditing, and improving job description documentation to ensure consistency, compliance, and alignment with business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Job Description Template Standardization Project for the North America region
  • Review, audit, and consolidate existing job descriptions across multiple business units and locations
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and functional leaders to gather missing or outdated job information
  • Ensure all job descriptions follow a standardized format, including consistent language, structure, and key competencies
  • Support the development and implementation of a centralized job description repository
  • Assist in aligning job descriptions with organizational structure, compensation frameworks, and compliance requirements
  • Track project milestones, maintain documentation, and provide regular status updates to HR leadership
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend best practices for ongoing job description management
  • Perform additional HR-related administration or project-based tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • Interest in pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or a related field
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Analytical mindset with an interest in process improvement
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous internship or coursework related to HR, organizational development, or project management
  • Familiarity with HR systems
  • Interest in manufacturing or industrial environments

Work Environment

This role may be based in an office setting, with potential collaboration across multiple manufacturing sites in North America.
