| Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance. |
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive support to the Nurse Stations (A&E and EMW) and A&E Registration Office, including general clerical work, filing, message handling, and patient/visitor enquiries.
- Perform 24-hour shift coverage, including overnight duties when required.
- Maintain patient medical records and, when necessary, trace laboratory, radiology, and other investigation reports.
- Assist in preparing monthly claims, including temporary staff allowances and the Special Honorarium Scheme (SHS), with compilation at the department level.
- Maintain and check inventory of supplies, furniture, and equipment. Duties including receiving items, stock counting, sending equipment for repair, arranging maintenance, and updating the A&E Inventory Management System.
- Provide reception services such as appointment booking, handling enquiries, and directing patients to appropriate treatment or investigation locations.
- Assist in coordinating meeting and training programs, prepare presentation materials, and draft meeting notes.
- Collect, verify, and compile statistical data and reports for management purposes.
- Support the design, implementation, and monitoring of local workflows, and operate healthcare IT systems to facilitate departmental functions.
- Supervise and monitor staff in counter services and clerical work, manage duty rosters and electronic allowance records, and liaise with other departments to ensure smooth patient flow.
- Carry out tasks assigned by supervisors according to service needs.
Entry Requirements:
| 1. | (a) | Passes in 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) including English Language (Syllabus B), Chinese Language and Mathematics, or equivalent; OR |
| (b) | 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) attaining the level specified below: | |
| - Level 2 in English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics; and | ||
| - Level 2 in New Senior Secondary subjects/ "Attained" in Applied Learning subjects/ Grade E in Other Language subjects; or equivalent. | ||
| 2. | Ability to perform typing, word processing and/or Chinese word processing. |
Preferable Attributes/Exposure:
- Knowledge of HA IT systems, e.g., Computer Service Request System (CSRS), Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERPS), Staff Rostering System (SRS), Computer-based Maintenance Management System (CMMS), Automatic Dispatching System (ADS), eAllowance System, Medical Record Tracing System (MRTS).
- Knowledge of common office automation (e.g., operation of fax machine) and PC applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat).
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proactive, responsible, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
Fluency in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin is an advantage.
