Job Title: Prevention Assistant

Starting Rate of Pay: $9.25
Length of Time: Eligible for rehire on a semester basis.
Department Description:
Panther Prevention works alongside the counseling department to grow utilization of services, promote departmental efforts such as group therapy, support groups, mental well-being app (Welltrack Boost), and crisis services. Prevention works independently to identify needs of the student population and address those needs through outreach such as events, workshops, social media marketing, campaigns, and cross-campus partnerships.
Job Description:
In this position workers will be required to assist with identifying needs of their peers, and planning events. This requires coordination with multiple departments. This position will be tasked with hosting and running events through careful coordination and planning. In this position the worker will be asked to support and/or manage social media of the counseling center. This position will support data collection through surveys of participants.
Job Location/ Hours Required:
The candidate will perform most/all job duties in Slane Student Center. Hours may vary depending on the job requirements; however, the total number of hours a student employee may work per week is 20 hours. This position requires up to 20 hours per week.

Required Qualifications:
This worker must be an undergraduate student, interested in supporting mental health needs on campus. Prior experience with social media, strategic communication, and/or a willingness to learn, and be supportive of the needs of the student population.
