Retail Sales Clerk II - Syracuse

As a Retail Sales Clerk, you will: Use your customer service skills to assist the public. Ensure that all sales are made only to customers 21 and over. Perform cashiering duties. Assist in receiving and storing merchandise. Mark and display product for sale. Contribute to the department's service-focused mission by providing superior customer service. Assist in managing store operations in the absence of the manager or assistant manager, including opening and closing the store. Other Responsibilities Processes transactions at a cash register, gives correct change, and closes till at end of shift. Assists customers in finding products, making selections, and purchasing items. Screens for intoxication, checks identification, and watches for shoplifters. Conducts regular and/or spot check inventories of merchandise, supplies, or equipment. Ensures that there is an adequate supply of materials available. Orders, receives, inspects, and stores equipment, merchandise, commodities, materials, and/or supplies. Receives and fills liquor orders for clubs, restaurants, and hotels as required. Maintains building(s) and/or facilities in a clean and orderly condition and/or removes snow from sidewalks and doorways, etc. Receives shipments and coordinates handling and storage.
