The Refugee Services Office (RSO) within the Department of Workforce Services (DWS) is looking for a skilled and motivated individual to fill a Licensed Clinical Therapist (LCT) Supervisor position in Salt Lake City. Principal Duties The LCT Supervisor provides supervision for licensed clinical staff and refugee community case workers as they perform family and patient assessments, interpret medical and psychological findings, perform short-term counseling, and provide referrals, case management and follow-up recommended therapy. The LCT Supervisor duties will include: Serving as a consultant diagnostician and resource person to administrative and professional staff and conducts in service training. Preparing case histories and social summaries and submits case progress to appropriate personnel. Negotiating, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating service contracts. Participating in research, training, and supervisory programs. Providing clinical and administrative supervision for social work staff. Planning and managing projects and/or programs. Writing (or discussing) project/program plan(s), recommendation(s) and/or finding(s). Facilitating the use of research data to improve existing programs and utilization of resources. Supervising staff personnel including: hiring, determining workload and delegating assignments, training, monitoring and evaluating performance, and initiating corrective or disciplinary actions. Performing evaluations for the purpose of identifying cultural, social, environmental, psychological, behavioral and situational barriers that would restrict the customer's ability to participate in services provided through DWS. Developing and implementing treatment plans to help customers mobilize inner capacities and resources to improve social functioning. Referring customers to health, mental health and community resources as appropriate. Coordinating with resettlement agencies to implement coordinated case management assessments for new arrivals. Facilitating psychoeducational groups and workshops to teach advanced life skills, parenting, healthy relationships and others as identified by refugee communities. Educating mainstream communities about strengths, experiences and contributions of refugees. Consulting with customers, DWS staff and partners. Consultations require both clinical and general directions regarding customer barrier resolution. Consultation services will be provided individually or through group staffing. Acting as a liaison between DWS and professional/community providers. Providing training for staff regarding behavioral patterns that may indicate the potential existence of mental health disorders and general mental health information including specific disorders, behavioral indicators. Providing clinical and case management supervision for CSW's or ACHMC's, as required, who may be working toward meeting professional licensing requirements in a formal practicum setting. Providing supervision to MSW graduate students, and case management supervision to social work undergraduate students in a formal practicum setting.
