Job Description
Auburn Girls High School is a partially academic selective and comprehensive high school with an enrolment of 850 girls, 98% of whom have language background other than English. The school has increasingly outstanding HSC and NAPLAN results due to a strong commitment to building collective teacher efficiency and using evidence-based practices to target areas including literacy, numeracy and HPGE. Auburn Girls High School has developed a strength-based positive Education wellbeing platform where every student is known, valued and cared for within a culture of high expectations and academic rigor. 1. Demonstrated leadership experience in managing a Learning Support Faculty, with the ability to effectively liaise and coordinate with Department of Education (DoE) and external support services to address the specific learning needs of students.
2. Demonstrated expertise in leading and delivering whole-school professional learning that enhance staff capabilities to effectively cater to the diverse needs of students to foster improved learning outcomes and engagement
3.Highly developed communication, interpersonal and organisational skills that foster positive relationships with all stakeholders, including departmental and external support services, parents and students to collaboratively develop and implement strategies to meet specific learning needs.
4. Proven ability to work collaboratively with the executive team to lead, manage and implement whole-school initiatives that drive the effective delivery of the School Excellence Plan.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
