Job Description
Service Delivery Engineer role purpose: Take ownership of technical solutions, project management and delivery activities for the Technical Centre of Excellence work packages, working collaboratively with EMEA divisional Operating Companies and Technical teams throughout the entire lifecycle of customer orders. Key Accountabilities: • Responsibility for the commercial integrity (contractual, DOA process etc.) of developed solutions • Responsibility for regulatory compliance of developed and delivered solutions • Responsibility for project delivery performance for allocated work packages • Support the creation of operational best practice project management methodologies for EMEA customer project delivery, throughout the Optimise, Manage and Decarbonisation phases. • Support OpCo's and divisional functions in delivering sales growth throughout the EMEA Division • No -direct reports, however indirect reports maybe allocated to support the development and delivery of the solutions, including sub-contract specialist services for back office and on-site activities etc. Key Responsibilities: • Creation and management of Tier 3 and emerging decarbonisation solutions, including electrification, high-temperature heat pumps, thermal energy storage and hybrid steam systems • Support assessments and audits for technical solution development • Lead the creation of design specifications and associated documentation for the developed solutions for the EMEA Operating Companies • Support the delivery of technical solutions for a variety of applications identified • Undertake and manage the allocated tasks to ensure successful completion and delivery • Management of budgets, reporting and margin protection • Technical assessment and justification to support CVP approval of conventional and emerging solutions, in line with DOA and Divisional procedures. • Pro-active involvement and development / implementation of continual improvement strategies • Responsibility for technical integrity of the developed solutions, Compliance, best practice etc. • Support EMEA Divisional functions in delivering commercially viable decarbonisation and energy optimisation projects across EMEA • HS Welfare, you must ensure that your and your team’s activities do not cause concern, risk or harm to yourselves or others in the execution of your duties, both in the office environment and on customer sites. • The role will require Divisional travel in a customer facing capacity and includes the development of OpCo’s capabilities, securing live projects (Orders) and deployment of EMEA solutions Measures / KPI's: • Successful design and implementation of sustainable site and system solutions • Effective support in technical assessments, audits, and maintenance plans • Development and integration of technically sound and deployable low-carbon and energy optimisation solutions • Compliance with industry and local standards • Collaboration and communication with the Delivery and Site teams • Proactive management of solution development, cost control, and margin Relevant Experience: • Excellent working knowledge of Spirax applications, systems and processes • Knowledge of group solution development and installation • Experience in a customer facing role • Management of site based, solutions, projects or installations • Management of sub-contractors on a customer site • Practical experience of installing developed solutions Qualifications, Skills and Competencies: • Demonstrable experience delivering complex engineered solutions in an industrial or energy environment • Expected minimum level 5 in a technical discipline • Ability to work effectively under pressure • Appropriate H S qualification e.g. IOSH / NEBOSH or working towards. • Excellent Decision-making ability • Strong interpersonal skills
