ATHLETIC COACH - HIGH SCHOOL
PAYROLL GRADE: 13 FLSA STATUS: EXEMPT
Position Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed High School Boys Soccer Coach to lead and grow our soccer program in a Catholic school environment. The coach will promote athletic excellence, teamwork, and sportsmanship while supporting the spiritual, academic, and personal development of student-athletes in alignment with the mission of Catholic education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and conduct daily practices and game strategies that develop individual skills and team performance.
- Teach fundamental and advanced soccer techniques, conditioning, and tactical awareness.
- Foster a culture of respect, discipline, teamwork, and accountability.
- Model and integrate Catholic values, including integrity, humility, and service, into the program.
- Monitor and support the academic progress and well-being of student-athletes.
- Ensure compliance with school policies and state athletic association regulations.
- Coordinate team logistics, including scheduling, travel, and supervision at games and events.
- Maintain equipment, uniforms, and practice/game facilities.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, faculty, and administration.
- Support off-season training, camps, and player development opportunities as appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Previous soccer coaching experience or competitive playing experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of soccer techniques, training methods, and game strategy.
- Ability to motivate, mentor, and develop high school student-athletes.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Completion of required clearances and background checks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior high school coaching experience.
- Familiarity with state athletic association rules and regulations.
- Experience working in a faith-based or educational setting.
Compensation:
- Stipend based on experience and school guidelines.
