Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate, creative, and student-centered High School Art Teacher to join our Catholic school community. The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore artistic expression while fostering an appreciation for beauty, creativity, and the integration of faith and learning. This educator will support the mission of Catholic education by promoting academic excellence, spiritual growth, and moral responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons in various art disciplines (e.g., drawing, painting, sculpture, digital media, art history).
• Create a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and critical thinking.
• Assess and evaluate student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
• Integrate Catholic values and teachings into the curriculum and classroom culture.
• Maintain classroom organization, including care of materials, tools, and studio space.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support interdisciplinary learning and school initiatives.
• Participate in school events, faculty meetings, and professional development opportunities.
• Support extracurricular activities such as art clubs, exhibits, or school events as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field.
• Demonstrated knowledge of a variety of artistic techniques and media.
• Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
• Must be willing to respect the Catholic Church and follow our code of conduct.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior teaching experience at the high school level.
• Experience integrating technology into art instruction.
