Medford Summer Fun Program � Art Counselor Position

The Medford Summer Fun Program is seeking a fun, creative, and energetic Art Counselor with a passion for working with children, arts and crafts, and teaching.

Program Dates & Hours:
Monday, June 29 � Friday, August 14 (7 weeks)
7:30 AM � 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday

$17.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Plan and lead engaging art classes for children ages 5�13
• Teach four classes per day across the following age groups:
  • Ages 5�6
  • Ages 7�8
  • Ages 9�10
  • Ages 11�13
• Manage groups of approximately 25�30 children per class
• Develop and follow a daily lesson plan for each group
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and creative environment
• Communicate effectively and collaborate with coworkers
• Adapt to schedule changes as needed
• Maintain punctuality and reliability on a daily basis

Qualifications:

• Experience teaching art or working with groups of children is preferred, but not required
• Strong organizational and classroom management skills
• Creativity, flexibility, and enthusiasm
• Ability to engage and motivate children of varying ages
