School Year 2026/2027

Position Summary
Medford High School is seeking a skilled Plumbing Instructor to provide hands-on training aligned to Massachusetts Chapter 74 standards. The program prepares students for careers in plumbing and gas fitting, including pathways toward licensure.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver technical instruction in plumbing systems, pipefitting, code, and safety
  • Prepare students for industry credentials and apprenticeship pathways
  • Supervise shop/lab activities with a focus on safety and proper tool use
  • Maintain equipment, inventory, and compliant learning environments
  • Collaborate with industry partners and Program Advisory Committee
  • Integrate academic standards into technical instruction

Qualifications

  • Massachusetts DESE Vocational Technical Teacher License in Plumbing (9�12), OR eligibility to obtain licensure
  • Current Massachusetts Journeyman or Master Plumber License required
  • Minimum required years of industry experience per DESE guidelines
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Ability to meet Chapter 74 program requirements
