Job Description
ROLE SUMMARY:
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join an outstanding and ambitious team at King's College School, The Bahamas,
The school continues to grow following its opening in August 2022. It is the only school in the region that is part of a leading global group of premium schools. The King's group offers over 50 years of academic excellence combined with proven best practices from Inspired Schools across six continents.
For this 2025/26 academic year, the school welcomed over 330 students from Pre-Reception to Year 10. An additional year group will be added every year until Year 13.
The school is housed in a newly built 10-acre campus of architectural significance. It offers the highest quality educational facilities, ensuring that students benefit from a learning environment designed for how students learn in the modern day.
Facilities include light and airy classrooms, state-of-the-art science labs, a multipurpose hall, a 25-meter swimming pool, football pitches, tennis courts, padel courts, dance, drama, and art studios, an adventure park playground, and plenty of green spaces and shaded areas for students to enjoy. As well as this, our premium beach front boarding house has just opened its doors to students.
The Head of Admissions is the first voice of King's College School, The Bahamas, to every family who considers us. The role owns the family journey from first enquiry to enrolment and beyond, representing the school's educational philosophy, its community, and the experience we offer each child. King's is built on rigour, a knowledge-rich curriculum, and the belief that children grow through genuine challenge; the postholder will come to embody and articulate this with conviction.
The role is accountable for enrolment outcomes across day and boarding, working in close partnership with Marketing and within Inspired's reporting rhythm. Strong enrolment follows from the quality of relationships, credibility, and judgement the postholder brings to every family.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as first point of contact and ongoing guide for every prospective family, from initial enquiry through to onboarding.
- Take time to understand each family's hopes for their child and help them decide, with confidence, whether King's is the right school.
- Become genuinely fluent in the educational proposition of King's — its curriculum, pedagogy, and pastoral approach — spending real time in classrooms and across the life of the school to speak about it with depth and conviction.
- Represent the school at tours, open events, and community occasions with warmth, confidence, and substance.
- Build trusted relationships that turn prospective families into long-term advocates of King's.
- Own annual enrolment targets for day and boarding, maintaining momentum across every stage of the admissions journey.
- Work in close partnership with Marketing so that lead generation, events, and campaigns translate into meaningful family engagement and enrolments.
- Use data and pipeline analysis to identify where families disengage and respond quickly with evidence-based improvements.
- Build and manage relationships with feeder schools, agents, corporate partners, and relocation networks; grow boarding through targeted outreach in priority international markets.
- Use OpenApply, Power BI, and supporting platforms rigorously to manage the pipeline, track engagement, and produce clear performance reporting.
- Maintain fully updated systems at all times, ensuring data integrity across admissions and marketing.
- Oversee the end-to-end admissions process, from enquiry to contracts and onboarding, with accuracy, speed, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor competitor activity and market dynamics; translate insight into practical adjustments to admissions and marketing approach.
- Work closely with the Principal and Senior Leadership Team to align admissions strategy with the school's direction.
- Partner with Marketing as a single team, sharing ownership of the family journey from first contact to enrolment.
- Lead and develop any direct reports within the admissions function; operate within Inspired's systems and expectations.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Genuinely passionate about education and curious about how schools work, with the discipline to become fluent in the King's proposition within the first term.
- A credible and warm ambassador, able to build trust quickly with discerning parents and speak about the school with real substance.
- Commercially astute, with a strong instinct for conversion and a track record of delivering against targets.
- Digitally fluent and analytically confident, at ease with OpenApply, Power BI, and data-led working.
- Highly organised and resilient, able to manage multiple priorities at speed without loss of quality or care.
Experience and Skills
- Proven track record in family-facing, client-facing, or admissions roles, with evidence of meeting and exceeding targets.
- Strong digital and analytical skills, including CRM and data platforms; experience with OpenApply and Power BI an advantage.
- Experience in premium, international, or fee-paying environments an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English; additional languages an advantage.
- Prior experience in education is welcome but not required. Genuine passion for education and the capacity to become fluent in the school's proposition are essential.
SAFEGUARDING STATEMENT:
