Job Summary
· This position drives the discovery of actionable insights that shape business decisions and strategies across the enterprise.
· The role directs decision science team efforts in data analysis, marketing mix modeling, attribution modeling, experimental design and inferential techniques to address business challenges of varying complexity.
· The role oversees the application of mathematical, statistical, and quantitative techniques to draw conclusions and deliver actionable recommendations that drive efficiency, growth, and profitability.
· The role supervises people leaders who manage other people leaders, guides and influences team members at all levels, and serves as a subject matter expert to support learning within the business unit and enterprise.
· The role manages third-party relationships and partners with them to deliver actionable insights.
· The position performs work independently while following functional guidelines and business strategies.
Essential Job Functions
· Leads the design and implementation of media measurement and optimization capabilities, integrating marketing mix models, incrementality tests, and attribution models.
· Leads A/B and multivariate tests, establishing hypotheses, and ensuring statistical significance to optimize website engagements and leads-to-conversion funnel.
· Shapes solution strategies and outcomes by leveraging deep knowledge of the business and overseeing collaboration across teams to ensure alignment and effectiveness.
· Uses deep expertise in data analysis to deliver insights that enable informed or strategic decision-making.
· Establishes advanced or innovative mathematical, statistical, and quantitative techniques to solve medium-to-large scale business problems that significantly impact current and future business strategies.
· Analyzes datasets of varying complexity to identify trends, patterns, and business opportunities.
· Leverages interactive data visualization tools and statistical techniques such as distribution analysis, correlation analysis, outlier detection, multivariate analysis, time series, machine learning, and others to uncover hidden insights.
· Directs comprehensive exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover opportunities including testing hypotheses and validating findings with business partners.
· Oversees coordination with cross-functional technical teams including IT, data scientists, data engineers and others to ensure data integrity and optimize data pipelines. Identifies data quality issues and collaborates to resolve them.
· Leads the transformation of technical data insights into communications and presentations for non-technical business partners and leadership, including executive leadership, to ensure data-driven insights and recommended action plans are easily understandable.
· Uses expert storytelling approaches to make complex information more accessible and persuade stakeholders to adopt a certain point of view.
· Oversees the collection of data from diverse sources to integrate and transform disparate datasets to create cohesive, analysis-ready formats.
· Ensures data quality by establishing data hygiene techniques to ensure accuracy and consistency.
· Directs data reliability efforts to ensure data quality checks, data documentation processes, and collaboration among experienced analysts for peer review and data validation.
· Supervises, guides, coaches, and manages the performance of direct reports.
· Delivers regular feedback and supports professional development.
· Relies on advanced skill in employee engagement to cultivate a high-performance culture where excellence is standard and innovation is actively encouraged.
· Stays informed about emerging decision and data science methodologies, tools, and best practices.
· Applies knowledge and continuous learning to drive performance of decision science teams and function.
· Acts as a subject matter expert to educate others and support learning across the organization.

Education Requirements
· High School Diploma or equivalent required.
· Bachelors degree required in data science, statistics, mathematics, business analytics or related.
Experience Requirements
· 10+ years of work experience required in data analysis, statistical or mathematical modeling, or related.
· Experience in a people leader or management role required.
· Experience in marketing analytics: MMM, MTA, incrementality, geo testing, A/B testing, causal inference
· Experience in insurance industry preferred.
· Expert knowledge of data analysis and manipulation tools (e.g., SQL, Python, SAS, R, and/or Snowflake).
· Advanced knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
· Able to adapt quickly to new technologies.
Physical Actions
Job is performed in-person at a Farmers office or virtually at an approved alternative work location. The physical work environment is indoors and climate-controlled with adequate lighting and ventilation. Normal and customary distractions include background noise produced by office equipment and chatter among people, as well as interruptions. Frequently sits for prolonged periods of time, up to a full shift. Occasionally moves about the workplace including, navigating stairs, ramps, and level or uneven surfaces. Possesses clear vision, with or without correction, to visually read and verify information. Relies on depth perception and peripheral vision to navigate the work environment visually by identifying barriers, changes in terrain and locating objects. Possesses adequate hearing, with or without correction, to communicate with co-workers, respond promptly to auditory signals or alarms, and discern sounds essential for maintaining safety and productivity in the workplace.
