People Services Manager – Eastern Airlines
Position Overview
The People Services Manager at Eastern Airlines leads core human resources functions that support a safe, compliant, and high‑performance aviation workforce. This role focuses on employee relations, HR compliance, performance management, policy development, compensation support, and organizational culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Employee Relations — Serve as the primary HR contact for employee concerns, investigations, conflict resolution, and corrective action processes.
- Performance Management — Lead annual review cycles, coach leaders on performance issues, and support leadership development initiatives.
- HR Policy & Procedure Management — Maintain and update HR policies, employee handbooks, and standard operating procedures to ensure they align with airline operations.
- Compensation & Administration — Support salary reviews, job evaluations, and employee leave programs.
- Training & Compliance Support — Coordinate HR‑related training (harassment prevention, leadership training, compliance modules) and partner with operational training teams.
- Culture & Engagement — Drive initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, recognition, communication, and cross‑department collaboration.
- HR Data & Reporting — Maintain HRIS accuracy, track key HR metrics, and provide insights to leadership.
- Regulatory Compliance — Ensure HR practices comply with FAA, DOT, OSHA, EEO, FMLA, ADA, and state labor laws; maintain documentation and audit readiness.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field; equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 5+ years of HR generalist or HR management experience; aviation or transportation industry experience strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
- Experience conducting investigations and managing employee relations matters.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, safety‑sensitive environment.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and problem‑solving skills.
- HR certifications (PHR, SPHR, SHRM‑CP, SHRM‑SCP) a plus.
