Job Description

Position Overview:

The Line Cook is responsible for preparing dishes according to the restaurant’s recipes and standards. The ideal candidate works efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen, has strong cooking skills, and pays close attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Food Preparation:

    • Prepare menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
    • Ensure that food is cooked to the proper temperature and consistency.
    • Work on multiple stations, including sauté, grill, and fry, as needed.
  2. Food Safety:

    • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
    • Keep a clean and organized workspace, including cutting boards, utensils, and cooking surfaces.
  3. Inventory and Supplies:

    • Monitor ingredient levels and report shortages to the kitchen manager.
    • Properly store and label food items according to health and safety regulations.
  4. Team Collaboration:

    • Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure all dishes are prepared and delivered on time.
    • Assist with other kitchen duties, including prep work and cleaning.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Line Cook is preferred.
  • Strong cooking skills and knowledge of various kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality food.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
