Job Description
We are looking for a skilled 1st shift Production Team Lead to work out of our PF&C (Coatings) plant located in Aurora, IL.
The schedule for this role is 5am to 5pm on a 2-2-3 schedule.
Summary
The person hired for the position of Production Lead will provide supervisory support for manufacturing operations within the plant and is responsible for driving safety, quality, service, productivity, and employee engagement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Ensuring a safe working environment through modeling safe behaviors, leading audits/inspections, correcting unsafe behaviors, conducting safety meetings, and utilizing proper work methods, procedures and equipment
Providing direct supervision of production and temporary employees
Handling shifts administrative activities such as time/absence reporting, attendance control, vacation planning, overtime and resource planning.
Evaluating employees’ performance and providing feedback
Driving continuous improvement in safety, productivity, quality
Monitoring daily work schedules, determining priorities, allocate work assignments, and regulate production processes in order to meet specific daily production requirements
Supporting manufacturing efforts and projects
Reports to Production Supervisor with responsibility for operations and employees in the same plant areas
Any other improvement projects as outlined by Plant Manager, Production Manager, or Production Supervisor
Actively participate in all Continuous Improvement, Safety and Quality initiatives
Performs housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
Understands the Quality policy, objectives, and aids in the achievement of them.
Contributes to the continual improvement of the Quality Management System by following current written policies, procedures, and work instructions, etc., while providing constructive feedback, input, and suggestions.

What We Look For
High School diploma or higher from an accredited institution
Minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience with 3 years working in a supervisory or lead position.
Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and verba
Ability to create, lead and work in a team atmosphere
Ability to drive and influence positive change
Ability to quantify results, identify new opportunities, adapt to change and interface with all levels of management
Basic computer skills (SAP knowledge is a plus)
